I founded Little Star Technologies in 2001, just a few months after the birth of my first child. Having worked in the computer field for a number of years, I decided I had the skills needed to work from home successfully. I left my full-time employer to be a stay-at-home mother and independent consultant.

I have been actively working in web site design and programming since 1998. I have an Associates of Applied Science degree from the Northern Virginia Community College (for programming), as well as numerous computer courses at George Mason University, on my way to a Bachelor's degree.

Before starting my own company, I began working with my mother's company, Graphic Expressions, doing web design programming. Working with Graphic Expressions' clients and subsequently starting my own business have really helped me to focus on the type of client I prefer — small businesses.
